Hi, my name is Pixie. I am a weirdling, a wildling, and a certified soapmaker who's a bit obsessed with folklore. Welcome to my little shop. I hope you'll find something you love.
Folklorica Soapery is a small, woman-owned, collaborative brand that I created with my dear friend, Crow, who is a bath soak mastermind and an all-around magical human. This is a passion project borne from our obsession with crafting amazing products that we love to use.
But we couldn't just make ordinary bath products. We had to inject our intention, our quirkiness, and our passion for the craft into them. Each product is handcrafted in small batches with care and intention, using sustainably sourced ingredients. And most products are inspired by figures from folklore or mythology. From time to time (when the mood strikes us), you'll also find some other delectable goodies inspired by food, beverages, or other fun themes.
Behind it all, there's a very important message we want to convey to you: Self-care is not an indulgence. It's a journey and a necessity. So we keep it interesting and try to make that self-care as fun and decadent as possible. Whether you buy from us or not, please give your mind and body the care they need to thrive. It's not selfish, it's not gluttonous, and it's not a splurge. It's your well-being, and that is priceless. Maybe that means taking a long bath, going for a walk in nature, using the good plates, using the good soap, having a healthier sex life, getting a therapist, getting a dog, letting go of toxic habits or toxic people, going back to school, changing your career, being more patient with yourself, saying yes to more adventures, or learning to set boundaries and say no. Whatever you need, you're worthy of it. We don't know how many moments we've got, and we would be honored if our products help give you the self-care you need to make the most of those moments.
